Your voice matters. Here’s how to share it.
We’re so excited that you’re interested in submitting your story to Readefining Futures, a global storytelling platform by The Literary Vault that amplifies youth voices and promotes literacy and empathy.
To ensure every voice is heard clearly and respectfully, please take a moment to review these submission guidelines before sending in your work:

What You Can Submit:
We accept stories in a wide range of formats:
✨ Short stories (fiction or creative nonfiction)
📝 Personal essays and reflections
📜 Poetry (any style or form)
📖 Excerpts from larger works-in-progress
📚 Stories that connect with identity, culture, growth, social issues, resilience, or imagination
Submission Requirements:
Age Range: Submissions are open to youth ages 5–17.
Length: Keep your piece under 2,000 words for stories or essays; poetry can be up to 2 pages.
Language: Submit your piece in English (translations welcome if noted), please no profanity.
Originality: All submissions must be original work by the author. No AI-generated or plagiarized content.
Content: No hate speech, explicit violence, or inappropriate language. We’re here to uplift and empower.
Format: Submit as a Google Doc link or PDF attachment. Use 12pt font, double spacing for prose.
How to Submit:
Visit the Submit Your Story page.
Fill out the Google Form linked there.
Upload or paste your story and submit.
Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email within 3–5 days.

Selected stories will be published on the Voices of the Vault page.
One author is featured monthly in our Literary Luminary Spotlight.
Authors may be invited to participate in interviews or virtual events.
This initiative isn’t about perfection—it’s about potential. Whether you’re a first-time writer or seasoned storyteller, your voice deserves to be heard.
