Hi there, I’m Cyra Aggarwal, a 15-year-old writer, book blogger, and passionate advocate for literacy and youth empowerment. I’m also the founder of READefining Futures. Redefining Futures is a socially impactful initiative under The Literary Vault umbrella—a blog and platform I founded to connect readers, authors, and changemakers through the power of stories. While The Literary Vault celebrates literature and community, READefining Futures takes that mission one step further: turning storytelling into action by empowering youth voices and expanding access to books that spark change. This initiative was born from my belief that every young person deserves the chance to write their own story, literally and metaphorically.

Books have always been more than just paper and ink to me. They’ve been escape routes, windows to different lives, and anchors during uncertain times. Growing up, I often turned to storytelling to make sense of the world around me. Over the years, however, I realized that not every child has access to the books and resources that once helped me find my voice.

That’s where READefining Futures comes in.

This initiative combines everything I love—storytelling, supporting those in need, and amplifying youth voices and blends it all into one mission: to empower underrepresented youth by increasing access to inspiring books and offering platforms for their stories to be heard.

Through the motto Read. Write. Rise., I will do these three things:

📚 Read – run book donation drives and curate diverse titles for kids and teens in underserved communities, hoping to spark imagination and build empathy.

📝 Write – invite youth to share their original writing with us and feature their voices in my digital library, Voices of the Vault, celebrating their creativity and stories.

🚀 Rise – believe that storytelling is a tool for change. By lifting youth voices and giving them access to transformative literature, I will help build confidence, leadership, and connection.

But this isn’t just my project – it’s ours. Whether you’re submitting your story, reading someone else’s, or helping a book reach the hands of a child who needs it, you’re part of a growing community reshaping the future, one page at a time.
